About the business
Sun Valley Youth Center is a no-to-low cost after-school and summer program in Denver's Sun Valley neighborhood. Using a trauma-informed, attachment-based approach, they work to empower youth, families, and the community around three pillars: connecting, empowering, and correcting.
The website project
The site needed to speak to two audiences at once: families in the neighborhood and the donors and funders who keep the program running. We led with photographs of the kids and staff, explained the three pillars in plain language, and gave testimonials from youth, parents, and former staff their own section.
Donations run through Givebutter so gifts land directly in the center's fundraising tools, and the site has grown with the organization to include the annual report, funder recognition, and event pages like the annual art auction.
